Volume 6, Issue 1 ~ January 2009

Happy New Year! I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas. I’m so sorry that we had to postpone our celebration. It was nice to wake up to snow on Christmas morning though. I can’t remember my last white Christmas. I am looking forward to our new year. We have some great teachers scheduled and I am excited to be your new President. I will do my best for our chapter and I hope that you will all be willing to share your ideas, opinions and your time for the benefit of the chapter. So, join me in welcoming 2009! I think it will be a great year. Your chapter President, Barbara Steingrobe

from Donna White
When using extender, blending gel or floating medium its very important to let it dry completely before applying the next layer of color or it will lift! If needed, you can use a hair dryer to hurry up the drying time. Also keep your brushes out of the water as this may lift previous layers that contain these mediums. You can load your brush with the medium, not water, to help make the paint flow from the brush.

Please remember, our chapter is very fortunate - we do not have to pay any fees to use the Tri-City Church of Christ facility. In 2009 let’s continue to show our appreciation and help support their church pantry. |
