Happy New Years my sweet painting friends. I am very happy to welcome in 2010. This is going to be a great new year. We are going to start off with a celebration. Let's all have some fun. Nina Daniels will be here to teach a beautiful project. We will have a wonderful pot luck lunch and ornament exchange. We welcome our new board members and bid farewell to those leaving positions.
I look forward to everyone getting in the spirit of the new season. Join us to welcome a new year and a new energy to the club. I encourage you all to invite new people to join us. It would be wonderful to see our group grow this year. I am looking forward to painting some wonderful projects with you all.
Remember, the past is the past, it cannot be changed. Tomorrow is a mystery yet to unfold. Today is full of choices that only we are in control of. Make the most of each new today and make every choice with your heart

Broccoli Casserole
Jamie Mills-Price
2 1/2c. cooked rice
2 cans creamy Chicken Mushroom soup (low fat)
1 jar Cheez Whiz (8oz.) (I use the reduced fat)
¼ c butter (or less)
½ c mayonnaise (low fat)
10 oz. frozen chopped broccoli (or more - I always add some fresh to mine)
½ c diced onion
½ c diced green pepper
½ c chopped celery
Cheez Its Crackers (low fat, if desired), crushed.
Grated Cheddar Cheese (enough to top to your liking)
Saute the onion, celery, green pepper, broccoli in the butter and mayo until the onion is looking clear. To this mixture add the soups, Cheez Whiz, cooked rice. Put in a 13x9 pan casserole dish. Top with the grated cheese and crushed Cheez Its.
Bake for 30 min. @ 350 degrees. Note: Cubed chicken or ham can be added.
