_President

I think I drank enough coffee at our fundraiser to keep me going until my summer is over. We didn't do as well as last year but we still netted about $210. It was a slow memorial weekend overall. I am still excited about the summer months though. I wait all year for sunshine. I just had to wait a little longer this year. I'm sure it won't be long before we are all complaining about the heat.
If you weren't here last month you missed out on a beautiful learning experience in color theory taught by Sue Eakin. It's wonderful when you can use a beautiful painting as a learning tool. Learning to mix colors takes time and practice. I hope we all will venture to grow as artists and enjoy every little thing that we learn. If I can learn a new cyber language on facebook, you can learn to mix colors. :)

Next month is a UFO month. We will also watch a painting DVD. Join in to fellowship with other artists. Its nice to be with people who share your pasion for art.
 See you soon, your President

Please remember, our chapter is very fortunate - we do not have to pay any fees to use the Tri-City Church of Christ facility. In 2009 let’s continue to show our appreciation and help support their church pantry. In the bag, please put a list of the items you bring and their est. cost, thank you!
