Date: May 16th, 2009 Teacher: Lori Larkey Subject: Reverse Glass
Surface: Glass - 4x6 or 5x7 (available at the Dollar Store) in the frame of your choice.
Surface Prep: Remove any stickers
Palette: Provided. If anyone has Asphaltum or White oil paint, please bring along. Black Acrylic Ink, if anyone has their own, please bring along.
Brushes and Special Supplies: *Small Oil Paint Brush (flat preferred, round okay.) We can also use foam applicators for the small amount of paint that we apply. *Ink Pens (see note below) *Gold Leaf (If anyone has some, please bring their own.)
Pre-Class Instruction: Nothing to do!
*NOTES from Lori: I will bring along samples of the fox version; but will also be bringing along patterns and books with a whole host of different subjects. Claudia Nice books or any pattern that has a lot of detail lines is perfect for this technique. (Birds, fruit, Christmas, landscapes.)
Along with some basic inking instructions and gold leaf procedures, I will be providing the ink, oil paint, spray adhesive and gold leaf. One thing I cannot afford to include is the ink pen (nib and handle). I can purchase them from my art supply here in town. The extra fine point for thin line nibs are $1.50 each and the handles are 1.50 each
